Vehicles with no keeper set are now automatically ignored.
As a user of our software you are probably entitled to update it to the latest version at any time, the only proviso being that the software is covered by current software maintenance. To have current maintenance, the software should be within it’s original cover period from sale (usually a year), under maintenance contract or under a rental agreement.
- We are continually refining and developing our software. Updates can be done on as much as a daily basis. We don't 'hold back' software for specific release dates - our software is released as and when it has been written and tested.

Windows "look-and-feel" - Add/Edit/Process Sales and Purchase Orders

The "Add or Edit Sales Orders", "Process Sales Orders", "Add or Edit Purchase Orders", and "Process Purchase Orders" options have been given the Windows look-and-feel facelift, and consolidated into a single option for each ledger. Along with the new look are several enhancements, including:
- Add, Edit and Process Orders and Items from a single list. Instead of having to hop from one option to another depending on whether you want to make changes to the order items, or process them, all functionality is now available from the one option.
- Order Nett, V.A.T. and Gross totals at a glance. Totals are now displayed alongside the items, no more having to break out the calculator.
- Some feature's function keys have changed to accommodate the merging of the two options! Refer to the online help for details. Similarly macros may need to be re-recorded to fit the new arrangements.
- As this part of Platinum has been given the Windows look-and-feel the Home (on-line help) and End (functions) keys now work the way Windows uses them (i.e. Home goes to the beginning of whatever you are accepting and End goes to the end) so you should use the alternative help keys listed below:
- The F11 key should be used for the on-line help.
- The F12 key or the "Functions" menu should be used to access the function keys available.
- Buttons have been given a shortcut key (F?) for use in Macros and anyone not wanting to use the mouse.
- Windows may be repositioned and changed in size - these changes will be remembered from one Platinum session to another.
- The columns in lists can be moved or resized by dragging the heading for the column you wish to configure - these changes will be remembered from one Platinum session to another.
- Any tabs can be moved by dragging the heading for the tab to the new position - this new position will be remembered from one Platinum session to another.
Sales Order Invoice Print Order

Recently the order in which order items appeared on Sales Order Invoices changed from printing out in Stock Code order to the order they were entered.
The order has now been changed back to the original default of Stock Code order.
Mandatory Attribute Search

When prompted to enter mandatory attributes the search for the attribute is now limited to only attributes of the relevant category.
Automated Logistics Job Status

Vehicle Mileage Change Logged

The date a vehicle's mileage is changed is now recorded in the vehicle general notes in the same way that a vehicle location is recorded.
When a vehicle's location or mileage are changed by the data import the changes are automatically logged in the vehicle general notes exactly as they would be if a manual change was made to the vehicle information.
Creating Reports on the fly

It is now possible to use the $REPORT function with a report code of spaces. Specifying what should should be the range and column of the report, the function will create the report as it is needed.
Email and SMS Messaging Text Created by Report Generator

It is now possible to create and use a report generator report to fill out the text for the "From", "Subject" and main body of a message. You may also use a report to gather the list of contacts to send the message to.
New Token for Ticket Document

There is now a token for printing your company address on the ticket document. The token requires a parameter for the line of the address you want to print.

Stock Search Improvement

The stock search has been improved with the addition to the existing search by word or words from the stock description a full or partial stock code may also be included.
- This update will involve a file conversion, which will run once only: the first time Platinum is used after this update. It may take some time, depending on how heavily the relevant area of the system is used, but will only be necessary the first time you use the software after this update.
Vehicle Models

Finding the correct model to apply to a vehicle has been made easier by implementing an "aggressive" search, and by the addition of a quick reference file to speed searches up.
If the correct model is on your system, all you should need to type in at the "Model" prompt is as much of the code as you can remember, and/or part of the description, and/or the manufacturer, and the system will quickly locate all the models on file matching what you've entered, allowing you to choose the correct code. If only one code matches, that will be chosen automatically, allowing you to get on with your job.
