Platinum now stores and validates stock locations. Where previously anything could be typed into an item's location, now a saved location must be used.

The number of characters you can use to describe a location has increased from 12 to 20.

You can now store dimension details, notes and assign attributes to stock locations.

A new option "Add or Edit Stock Locations" has been added to the "Stock Control" -> "Maintenance Options" menu. From here you can add, edit and remove stock locations and there is also a special option where you can create multiple locations using a consistent naming scheme.

• This update will involve a file conversion, which will run once only: the first time Platinum is used after this update. It may take some time, depending on how heavily the relevant area of the system is used, but will only be necessary the first time you use the software after this update.
