Motorcycle Expo 2018
Motorcycle Expo is once again being held at Stoneleigh Park Exhibition Centre, Kenilworth, Warwickshire from the 14th-16th January running from 9:00am – 5:00pm on both Sunday & Monday and 9:00am – 4:00pm on Tuesday.
Motorcycle Expo is one of the highlights of the year for us at Catalyst & we are very much looking forward to seeing you all.
Day 1
Day one of this year’s much anticipated Motorcycle Expo 2018 kept our team busy throughout the day meeting new prospects and catching up with existing customers.
An interesting and fun attraction on our stand this year is the “Catalyst Check Sheet Challenge”.
Participants were invited to appraise a Yamaha MT-125 using our electronic check sheets feature and Platinum online to record faults/issues on the machine.
The faults, some easy to identify and a couple of sneaky ones, exist on the machine and participants had great fun trying to identifying them. Fortunately using Platinum Online on mobile phones and tablets is easy allowing most participants to beat the 180 Second time limit!
A huge thank-you to Arnolds Motorcycles (Loughborough) for lending us the motorcycle and especially to their technicians for preparing the machine and creating some very interesting and fun “faults”.
Well done to winner of day one, Rob Heatley of Hampshire Motorcycle Centre, pictured collecting his much deserved prize.
Day 2
Day 2 at expo has been a great day to chat in depth with our loyal and long standing customers, it’s always important to share ideas and aspirations. Several key new prospects took time to meet with us and we are looking forward to some very exciting projects in 2018!
The Catalyst check sheet Challenge continues to be a fun distraction from the rigors of expo, no-one managed to find all of the faults so the technicians at Arnolds Motorcycles are winning.
Neil Mossman of Total Triumph was todays check sheet challenge star and proudly collected his bottle of fizz!
Day 3
Day three at Motorcycle Trade Expo 2018 was another busy day for our team.
Whilst some exhibitors reported “slow days” we enjoyed meeting a steady stream of new prospects. Predominantly these were progressive dealers looking to leverage the many features and flexibility of Platinum to help them manage and grow their business. It was great to be able to hear of their success, plans for the future and discuss how Catalyst Platinum can help them drive their dealerships forward and achieve their goals.
Traditionally day three at Expo is an opportunity to get together with the manufacturers. It is always a very satisfying and flattering when the major brands are willing and eager to share their tactical plans and strategies with us. As the proven and established solution for dealers, the customer engagement and reporting tools within Platinum help dealers and the manufacturers introduce and enhance customer experience, dealership and brand performance.
The press were very interested in our recent emphasis on after sales elements of dealership operations. Still an area of huge potential for any dealer, this is an aspect of the industry that is of huge interest to dealers and manufacturers. Our customer retention tools, workshop advisories, real-time activity logging, electronic check sheets are all key tools that help dealers build, customer satisfaction, aftersales performance and of course profitability.
By the close of the show at 4pm, we were still meeting dealers who were blissfully unaware of the artic conditions sweeping norther and western parts of the UK. We hope you all had a safe journey home.
Farewells said to our many friends and partners, we did as always take the time to thank British Dealer News, the event organisers, and their support staff for another great Expo.
Many thanks to our team (Charles, Jeff, Matthew, Mike, Nigel and Sarah) for all their hard work in making the show the success it was
